Conservation

DMVF are an RIAI grade III accredited conservation practice. DMVF has experience in many kinds of conservation projects. These include extensions, interventions and refurbishment of historic buildings as well as new projects in Conservation Areas. DMVF Architects has experience across a broad range of building types from large Georgian town houses to tiny Victorian cottages. DMVF Architects are also routinely engaged on projects that although not protected structures, requires an architect who has knowledge of dealing with and a sympathetic eye for conservation. At DMVF Architects we bring together knowledge of the Planning Regulations, Buildings Regulations and Conservation Legislation and couple this with many years’ experience working with planners, builders and clients to provide a well-informed, well-rounded architectural conservation service. On every project DMVF Architects feel it is important to respect the character and special interest of the historic building and areas we work within.
