DMVF Architects is highly dedicated to quality design from conception through to completion no matter what scale of project. Each design is tailored to each individual client’s specific brief and architectural style. No one project is the same and we strive to echo our client’s voice in the finished product.

DMVF Architects was born out of two practices, Doyle McVeigh Architects and John Flood Architects both full members of RIAI. DMVF Architects offers a wide range of architecture services for both domestic and commercial clients. Private homeowners consult DMVF Architects for informed professional advice on undertaking renovations and conservation projects, house extensions and full one-off house design. Other services include BER assessment and review of house plans before application for planning permission. For homeowners wishing to undertake work on their home but unsure of their options, the DMVF team have developed a special low cost design report package.

DMVF Architects also has a diverse portfolio of commercial architecture projects including design, layout and fit out of bars, restaurants, health care, retail and office fit-outs and exhibition space design. For private development clients, projects have included multi-unit housing projects and apartment buildings.

JOHNJohn Flood

Director.John studied Architecture at DIT, Bolton Street School of Architecture from 1992-1998. Upon graduating, John gained expertise working on award winning projects with the esteemed de Blacam and Meagher Architects from 1998 to 2005. Established DMVF Architects in 2005 with Colm Doyle and Lisa McVeigh. John has successfully completed and led design teams on a wide range of projects from fit outs of bars, restaurants and offices to new build third level educational facilities.John holds an RIAI Accreditation in Sustainability

COLMColm Doyle
B.Sc.Arch B.Arch Hons M.R.I.A.I.

Director.Colm studied Architecture at Dundee University, from 1994-2000. Colm worked in London prior to 2005 for international award winning practice Paul Davis & Partners (PDP). Established DMVF Architects in 2005. Colm is listed as a Conservation Architect Grade 3 with the RIAI and has extensive experience skilfully integrating contemporary architecture within historic environments.Colm is an RIAI Grade 3 Conservation Architect.

LISALisa McVeigh
B.Sc.Arch A.Arch Hons M.R.I.A.I.

DirectorLisa studied Architecture at Queen’s University, Belfast from 1993-1999. Upon graduating, Lisa worked for Campbell Conroy Hickey Architects (CCH) from 1999 to 2005 in Dublin. Established DMVF Architects in 2005. Lisa has extensive experience leading design teams on projects in the residential, commercial, leisure and hospitality sectors both in Ireland and internationally.Lisa holds an RIAI Accreditation in Health and Safety.

ARTHURArthur Hickey
B.Arch, DipArb, FRIAI, RIBA, MClarb

Architect & Consultant to DMVF Architects.Arthur Hickey graduated in 1970 from the National University of Ireland with a B.Arch (Hons) Degree. He is a University lecturer in Design, Technology, Contract Management and Examiner in Professional Practice. He is a fellow of the RIAI, a member of the RIBA and is registered with the ARB. Served as President of the RIAI for the years 2000/2001. Honorary member of the International Academy of Architects.
SINEADSinead Murphy
BSc Arch, BArch MRIAI.

Architect.Sinead joined the DMVF team in 2011. Sinead qualified from University College Dublin in 2004 and became a member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland in 2008. Sinead has a broad range of experience with specific expertise in the areas of Building Regulations compliance and Health and Safety.Sinead holds an RIAI Accreditation in Health and Safety.

LAURALaura O’Gorman
B.Sc.Arch, M.Arch (Distinction)

Architect.Laura O’Gorman graduated in 2012 from Queens University Belfast with a Masters Degree (Distinction) in Architecture. Previously she worked as a studio tutor and a guest lecturer in Queens University, Belfast. She also has a Core Year in Fine Art from Gorey School of Art. She was shortlisted for the RIBA President’s Silver Medal in 2012.
stephenSteven Richardson
B.Sc.(Hons.) Arch Tech

Architect.Steven graduated in 2011 from DIT, Bolton Street School of Architecture, with a Degree (Distinction) in Architectural Technology. Since graduation Steven has gained a broad range of experience with specific expertise in high end residential refurbishment projects. He has carried out extensive research in Thermal Bridging Modelling and has tutored Architectural Technology in the Dublin School of Architecture, DIT.
