DMVF is pleased to present Merrion Courtyard, a development of nine high end residential units on a compact and challenging site in the centre of Ballsbridge. The development also features an office unit and shares the existing Victorian red brick building with a restaurant. A new build extension to 18 Merrion Road comprises six apartments, a communal roof terrace and the courtyard. The remaining three apartments are housed in the existing red brick building at first and second floor level, as well as in the existing single storey cottages at Ballsbridge Avenue. Materials are contemporary and sensitive to the buildings’ context in historic Ballsbridge. DMVF have been involved with this project from the outset and have navigated it through the planning process. It has been received well by Dublin City Council, with permission for eight of the nine units granted. A first party appeal is currently in process with An Bord Pleanala.
