DMVF Architects had the pleasure of designing this magnificent new build, family home, nestled in the heart of Greystones. The property is located in an Architectural Conservation Area and as part of their brief, our clients decided to keep the style of the house aesthetically in line with existing homes in the Conservation Area.

The entrance to the house is encased in a handmade timber porch capped with a terracotta tiled roof. The main roof is of natural slate. All external windows and doors are double glazed and timber framed. Energy Efficiency was high on the list of priorities for this house. A high insulation specification, the inclusion of an Air to Water Heat Pump and PV solar panels all resulted in the house receiving an ‘A’ rated BER.

As you enter the property, you are met with a double height hallway, allowing light to flood into the house to create an open and welcoming atmosphere. Our clients wanted their passion for wine, cooking and entertaining guests to be reflected in the design of their home. DMVF Architects incorporated various befitting features in order to achieve this; including a large centerpiece island unit, a beautiful pantry adjoining the open plan kitchen/living space and a walnut shelved wine room, enclosed by a Crittall door.

The courtyard to the rear of the property forms a perfect outdoor living space, ideal for entertaining family & friends during the long summer evenings.
