DMVF Architects were asked to remodel and extend this large two storey house so that the owners could enjoy the stunning garden designed by designer Diarmuid Gavin a number of years ago. Unfortunately the views from the rear of the existing house were limited so DMVF designed a bright and spacious new family room with large glazed openings to maximise the spectacular views. The rear of the house is north facing so DMVF introduced high level clerestorey windows to capture the west light in the evenings.  Not stopping there, DMVF created an outdoor living and dining space immediately outside the new extension with a cosy fireplace so that the garden could be enjoyed outside whatever the weather.
